Read moreJust falling in last year's National Championship game, Mesa Finished the season as the second-best team in the country. They started the Tournament the second-ranked team and then had to fight their way through the losers bracket to make it to the Title game where they faced NOC-Enid “The Home Team” in a winners take all National Title.
This is another Region where the records do not tell the whole story as to how good these teams actually are. This region is a combined conference with the Division 1 Arizona teams. To truly illustrate how tough their yearly schedule is, they had to play 2 games apiece against the National Champion at the Division 1 level Central Arizona, as well as D1 top 20 ranked Pima, South Mountain, Arizona Western, Cochise, and Yavapai.

The Pre-Season Player of the Year goes to one of Mesas key contributors in last year's run Taylor Darden. While the Pre-Season Pitcher of the Year goes to Chandler Webster (Texas Tech) who is also on the Pre-Season All-American Team.
