Div. 1- West District Preview (1, 9, 18)

So where do we even begin. The “Defending” National champs come from this region. Yes, that's in quotes only because we did not have a 2020 Champion due to the obvious reason of covid. But still this district has the argument to be the best top to bottom.

The defending National Champs Central Arizona come out of this district, with another trip in 2011 (NRU), Southern Idaho claimed the crown in 2018; Southern Nevada took the crown in 2017 for the first time since 2010 with Bryce Harper; Yavapai won the National Title in 2016 with a trip the year before in 2015; with Cochise going back to back years in 2014 and 2013. The only other school to claim a crown from this district over the past decade is Western Nevada who does not have a baseball team.

The tallent out west this year is as good as it has ever been (we just have gotten tired of saying it is better than every other year cause every school has more talent than they have had years in the past). It is lead by;

Southern Nevada’s-Dax Fellows, Cole Schaefer, Kris Bow, and Austin Plante

Central Arizona’s- Kiko Romero, Mat Olsen, and DJ Carpenter

Pima’s- Alex Kelch, and Engel Ochoa

Northeastern’s (CO)-Druw Sackett, Evan Reynolds, and Jesh Leckey

Cochise’s- Jimmy DeLeon

Utah State Eastern’s- Ryder Peterson, Dawson Hall, and Dylan Sanchez

Western Nebraska’s- Jerson Morales, Jordan Rollins, and Paul Panduro

Arizona Western’s- Delano Selassa, and Jarrod Belbin

Yavapai’s- CJ Valdez, Taisei Yahiro, and Amari Bartee

South Mountain’s- Trent Adams, and Brendan Anderson

University Junior College Recruiting Class Ranking

As many know November 13th was the start of the early signing day period this fall. And boy was it a day. For junior college athletes it generally is not as much of a surprise where they are going to sign when they have their options. They do not usually have the hats sitting in front of them like many people think when it comes to a person signing day.

From what we here at the JBB have collected it was over 200 different individuals commit/sign so far during this period. So we decided to break out or ranking caps for the first time to kick off the official 2020/2021 Calendar. Yes, we did have a Recruiting Class Ranking a few weeks back but this is for the guys that will not make it to campus till the fall of 2021.

As usual there are many of your normal universities that have already started to pick the Junior College ranks to fill their rosters for the next coming years. Below we rank the top 25 Classes as well as some Honorable Mentions.
