Div 3- Mid Atlantic District Preview (Reg. 10 & 20)

In recent history this district has been dominated by Rockinham. Winning both the last two tickets to the world series, and being national ranked each of the past few years. Before their two trips Prince George’s won in 2017 and in 2014, Montgomery went in 2016, 2015, 2013, and 2012, with Westmoreland taking the trip in 2011.

The talent this year is mostly centered around Rockingham with tallent up and down the team, as well as Caldwell and a few over  at Thomas Nelson.

Div. 3- South District Preview (Reg. 2, 5, & 14)

When people think about Texas Junior College Baseball you generally think of the San Jac’s, the Howard’s, the Grayson’s, and the McLennan’s. But there is a part of the state that is just as good that gets very little love due to the fact that they have the “Division Three” Title or Stigma.

The South District in Texas has been arguably the most successful division 3 district for the past decade. This might have part to do with the fact that they play earlier than most other division 3 schools. But it also has to do with the fact that since 2011 this district has had 6 national title games (Eastfield-2011) and Tyler (2014-2018), with 5 National Titles (2011, 2014-2017) with Brookhaven in 2019 finishing 3rd at the tournament.

As you would expect this is also a very team district with talent-

Tyler’s- Adam Davis, Cooper Rawls, and Heath Hood

Coastal Bend’s-Jacob Wilson, and Eric Martinez

Brookhaven’s-Brett Wagner, JJ Davis, and Andrew Acierni

Cedar Valley’s-Mario Pena, and Corbin Thompson

University Junior College Recruiting Class Ranking

As many know November 13th was the start of the early signing day period this fall. And boy was it a day. For junior college athletes it generally is not as much of a surprise where they are going to sign when they have their options. They do not usually have the hats sitting in front of them like many people think when it comes to a person signing day.

From what we here at the JBB have collected it was over 200 different individuals commit/sign so far during this period. So we decided to break out or ranking caps for the first time to kick off the official 2020/2021 Calendar. Yes, we did have a Recruiting Class Ranking a few weeks back but this is for the guys that will not make it to campus till the fall of 2021.

As usual there are many of your normal universities that have already started to pick the Junior College ranks to fill their rosters for the next coming years. Below we rank the top 25 Classes as well as some Honorable Mentions.
