Div. 3- North Plains District Preview (Reg. 13)

In Coach Kotilas last year Century tried to send him off on top but just fell short once they made it to Tennessee. They swept their way to the regional championship game where they faced off against St. Cloud Tech. That was not without a bit of a weather issue. The Championship game was postponed 2 days due to the weather. Century lost the first game 5-4 which forced the Winner Take All game. They happened to win 4-3 in 12 innings. 

Once in Tennessee, the Ducks lost their opening game to the eventual Champs Cumberlands. They then proceded to fight through the loser's bracket but eventually lost to Brookhaven. They finished 4th at the Tournament.

Minnesota is one of those regions that more often then not gets overlooked when it comes to talent or teams. But this year's group looks to be as good as ever. They are lead by Pre-Season Player of the Year Will Funk from St. Cloud Tech. On the mound, they are lead by Minnesota's state CTC’s Jake Dykholf.

Div. 1- South Atlantic District Preview (Reg. 8)

Last year Chipola was on the hunt for a 3rd Straight National Title which is something that has not happened at the NJCAA Div. 1 level since the 1980s where San Jac won 3 in a row from 1985-1987. Them winning 2 in a row was also the first time that it has happened since 1999-2000 where Grayson won back to back titles.

As always the State of Florida is loaded with talent and of course, this year is no different. Leading the way this year is Justice Thompson (North Carolina) from Northwest Florida takes home the Pre-Season Player of the Year Honors. Where State College of Florias Jake Smith takes home the Pre-Season Pitcher of the Year. Both Jake and Justice were Ranked in the Top 101 as well as were Both Preseason All-Americans.

Div. 2- Gulf District Preview (Reg. 23)

To say that Region 23 is the toughest Region in all of Division 2 Junior College baseball might be an understatement. In the last 10 years, there have been 5 National Champs (LSU-Eunice-4, Jones-1) and 3 National Runner-Ups (Hinds, Jones, LSU-Eunice). So in the past 10 years, the team that has come out of this region has played in 8 National Title games. If that does not make this the SEC of Junior College Baseball we are not sure what would.

This year's talent is lead by two of the top guys at the Division 2 level in the country. The Pre-Season Pitcher of the Year goes to Jones County’s Lane Thompson (Tulane). On the Offensive side of the ball, the Pre-Season Player of the Year goes to LSU-Eunice’s River Town (DBU).

Div. 3- North District Preview (Reg. 3)

After losing in the opening round of the Tournament last year Herkimer Rallied back through the losers bracket. Beating Niagara by 1 in 10 innings. Then they got revenge on Erie who beat them in the opening round. Then they beat Finger Lakes in two games outscoring them 23-5 and punching their second consecutive ticket to the National Tournament. 

Previous Winners: ‘19 Herkimer, ‘18 Herkimer, ‘17 Niagara (National Runner Up), ‘16 Niagara 

This year's group is lead by Herkimer taking home both Pre-Season Player and Pitcher. Dale Stanavich (Rutgers) brings home the Pre-Season Pitcher of the year along with being the #1 ranked Division 3 player in the country, A Pre-Season All-American, and National Pre-Season PItcher of the Year Honors. On the other side of the ball, Joe Novenche brings home the Pre-Season Player of the Year Honor. Joe also happens to be the #3 ranked Division 3 player in the country and the Preseason All-American Catcher.

Div. 1- Plains District Preview (Reg. 6)

Kansas has been dominated in recent years by Cowley. They have won the regional title 3 of the last 4 years. They topped Hutchinson 14-1 in the championship game to punch their ticket to Grand Junction. Once there they lost in their opening round to Walters State then beat both two-time defending champ Chipola, and then Monroe before falling to Navarro who finished 3rd. 

Previous Winners: ‘19 Cowley, ‘18 Barton, ‘17 Cowley, ‘16 Cowley, ‘15 Dodge City, ‘14 Johnson County, ‘13 Neosho, ‘12 Neosho, ‘11 Seward

Leading the way this year in Kansas is Pre-Season Player of the Year Logan Steenstra (Tennessee) from Cowley. While the Pre-Season Pitcher of the Year goes to Neosho’s Cam Blazek (New Mexico State)
