This week saw the first update to the National Rankings, Teams having HUGE weeks, Perfect games, and Multi Homerun weeks. Guys from the NWAC making their way into the National Player Spotlight as well as some of the key games to watch this upcoming week.
Division 1
Central Florida had a remarkable 6-0 week, sweeping both South Georgia and Abraham Baldwin in two games each. This impressive feat keeps the winning ways, who have now won seven straight games. With this kind of success, it’s no wonder that Central Florida is one of the top teams in the region.
Florence-Darlington Tech had an impressive week, pushing their win streak to 11 games with a 4-0 record. This is one of the longest streaks in the country and shows the dedication and hard work of the team. The team has been able to stay focused and motivated despite all of the challenges they have faced this season. With this win streak, Florence-Darlington Tech is proving that they are a force to be reckoned with.
Frontier had an incredible week, scoring 54 runs and allowing only 13. They had 17 extra-base hits and 3 shutouts, making it a huge week for the team. It was a great display of their offensive and defensive capabilities, as they were able to put up big numbers while also shutting down their opponents.
Johnson County Swept #23 North Iowa Area in a 4-game sweep, pushing their win streak to 10 straight. The team outscored them 46-14, showing their dominance on the field.
The McLennan Highlanders and Cowley Tigers faced off in a huge ranked matchup this past weekend. The three-game series was close, but the Highlanders came out on top, sweeping the Tigers in all three games. It was an exciting series with plenty of drama and excitement as both teams fought.
Division 2
Heartland had a great week, going 2-0 and outscoring their opponents 32-0 in 10 innings. Their pitching staff was especially impressive, with a 17-2 K/BB ratio. This is just another example of why Heartland is the number-one team in the country. They have consistently shown that they can put together a winning combination of strong pitching and timely hitting. With their impressive performance this week, it’s clear that Heartland is good – like really good!
John Wood has certainly started the season off on the right foot, continuing the early season success with a 4-0 record this past week. They swept Rock Valley and Highland (KS) with an equal mix of pitching and hitting. This is a great sign for the team as they look to continue this run.
LSU-Eunice had another successful week, pushing their win streak to 17 with three more wins. The team is showing no signs of slowing down and is looking forward to a big weekend coming up against another ranked team. With the momentum they have built up, it looks like LSU-Eunice is on track for yet another great season.
Division 3
Caldwell Tech made waves this past week. They recently completed their 6-0 Week, where they averaged 12 runs a game and swept Montreat JV, Combine Academy, and Surry all in two-game series. This impressive feat has put them on the map as one of the top teams in their region let alone the country.
Brookhaven has made a statement in the DFW Division 3 Teams with their 5-0 Week. They beat #5 Brookhaven in a 3 Game Sweep, proving they are one of the top teams in the division. This is a massive accomplishment for them and shows that they can compete at the highest level. With this victory, they have solidified their place at the top of DFW Division 3 Teams.
Joliet’s journey down south was a successful one. After taking on some tough Division 2 teams, they came out with a 3-1 record and are now looking poised for their upcoming spring break trip to Texas. This is an impressive feat for any team, especially considering the level of competition they faced. With this success, Joliet is now confident that they can take on any challenge that comes their way.

#12 DC – Richland vs #5 DC – Eastfield 3-game series
Eastland took game 1 on Wednesday 7-5. They play one game on Friday and the final game on Saturday.
#22 Bergen vs #13 RCSJ Cumberland 2-game series
Bergen and RCSJ Cumberland will play a doubleheader this upcoming Saturday hosted at RCSJ Cumberland. These are 2 teams at the Division 3 level that have been ranked towards the top of many different rankings for the lst few years and should be a very good early-season test for both of them.
#2 LSU-Eunice vs #7 Murray State
This looks to be one of the top Series across the country at any level. Yes. i said any level. A tiop 10 Matchup that should be worth every penny. If you can make the trip to Eunice this weekend, it will be 3 days of good baseball. Murry and Euince will both play each other on Friday and on Sunday. While on Saturday both teams will play East Central (MS), who is a solid team in their own right.
