And here we go. The first update of the 2023 Season.

Many of the Division 2 teams have gotten off to some hot starts. Now some still have yet to play so there will not be as much movement as over on the Division 1 Ranking. But there is still movement nonetheless.

The number 1 spot remains the same as Heartland has not played many games but they ahve won them as they should. LSU-Eunice who has one of the longest win streaks regardless of the division jumps up 4 spots to number 2. That jump caused the next 3 teams to move down one spot each to fill out the top 5 with Pearl River coming in at #3, Kirkwood in at #4, and Madison in at #5.

There were three teams that made their way into the top 25 in the first update. Those would be:

Chandler-Gilbert who comes in at #12

St. Johns River who comes in at #19

John Wood who comes in at #22

With 3 teams coming into the top 25 that means that 3 teams have left the top 25. Those would include Florida State-Jacksoville, UA Rich Mountain, and North Iowa Area.

One last thing that everyone loves to debate is the Next 5 Out. Those 5 teams are made up of Lackawanna, Northeast (NE), Southeastern (IA), Glendale, and Lenoir.
