And that’s a wrap. The 2022 NJCAA Div. 3 Season is over. For the 3rd time in a row, the NJCAA got the At-Large Bid correct. For a little back story, In 2019 RCSJ Cumberlands got the At-Large Bid and won the National Title; In 2021 Tyler got the At-Large Bid and Won the National Title, and this year Herkimer got the At-Large Bid and Won the National Title.
Herkimer got the At-Large Bid after falling to Niagara County in the District Title series. Herk was a mainstay in the Top 5 all year. Started the year off ranked #2 falling to #5 in Week 8, and finished the regular season ranked #3.
Herkimer Swept their way through the national tournament beating 3-seed Northern Essex 10-0, beating 7-Seed Oakton 9-8, then beating Eastfield 9-3 in both the Semi-finals and the National title.
For those that do care about how the “Predictions” went for both myself and the computer…. They were bad and the computer did better than i did with at least 1 of the 2 teams in the national title game but still did not come close other than that.
