For the first update, all 3 divisions will be in one post because A) divisions 2 and 3 Don’t have too much movement, and B). This is the 500th Post on the Site and Honestly, it’s crazy we are at this point in just 5 years so to everyone Thank You its been a crazy journey and hopefully, we are just getting started.

Now that we are done with the sappy stuff let’s get to what you all really came here for the CHAOS!

Division 1

And here we are. After the chaos that is the first month of the Junior College season, we have the first update to the Top 25. And boy there were a lot of changes.

New #1

First, let’s get this out of the way. There is a new #1. Dyersburg State. Yes, you heard us right. Dyersburg State is the new #1 Team in the Country. After a not-so-hot start in the first week of the season, they have rallied off 13 straight to put them at 13-3. In those 13 games, they have wins over National Park, Wabash Valley, Carl Albert State, Jefferson (MO), Kirkwood, and Pearl River.

Newcomers

This first update saw 2 teams that were not in the National Top 50 at the start of the season break into the Top 25.

New Mexico jumps into the rankings coming in at #14 with an 11-4 record. With some solid wins under their belts and 3 of the 4 losses to Central Arizona and McLennan, they have answered many questions that we had about them to start the season.

Indian Rivers State was a school that was not on any radar for the most part at the start of the season but they have shown everyone they should be. Sitting at 13-3, with those three losses coming from Chipola, State College of Florida, and Seminole State (FL). They also should have 2 wins over Florida SouthWestern State with one game being canceled before the 5th inning due to the weather.

Teams breaking into the Top 25

Four schools that were ranked in the Top 50 to start the season jump into the Top 25.

Arizona Western comes in at #10 after making waves in Arizona to start the season. Splitting with Central Arizona, Sweeping Pima, and South Mountain. With the only other losses coming from CSN they make the huge jump from #26 to #10.

Georgia Highlands was off to one of the hottest starts until this past weekend. The only losses they have on the season are to Wabash Valley with the rest coming in the way of a 16-Game Win Streak. They come in this week ranked #17

So Wharton makes their first-ever appearance in one of our rankings this week coming in at #23. With a Sweep over Tyler, a Split with Odessa and Brookhaven, with 2 other losses coming the way of Weatherford and Western Texas they make the jump into the Top 25.

Cloud was Ranked 27th coming into the season and has gotten off to a quiet 10-1 record which jumps them to that last spot in the Top 25.
