The North Plains of the Division 2 schools is always a good one. For the Iowa Schools, it is a lot like the Florida or Arizona D2 schools in the fact that they play in a conf. That is all division 1 schools so when you look at their records it looks like they are not as good as they actually are. For the others again it goes back to the Cold Weather bats of Northern schools that always get overlooked when it comes to most things due to the late starts to the season, lower offensive numbers, and what some view as just not good baseball. Which of course is not true.
Year in and year out this district produces multiple teams that are in the top 25 in the country and even the top 10.
This district, like many at the division 2 level, has not seen much success at the national level due to the power that is Region 23. They have played in 1 National title game since 2000 in the way of Iowa Central back in 2003. Other than that they have fallen short when it comes to playing at the World Series.
