Teams of The Week

Here is a look at the teams that made the biggest moves or had huge weeks as a team for each division

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M 5-1

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M is a team that never gets any recognition. This past week they broke into the National top 25 in part due to this past week. They lost Monday to National Ranked Cowley (20-9). But after that put their foot on the gas and finished the week with 5 wins, with four coming against National Top 10 Division 2 team Kirkwood.

Cowley 9-20

Their solo loss on the week is one you might expect. Cowley is always a very good team and mixed with 10 walks on the mound they just fell short.

Coffeyville 14-0 (5 Innings)

They bounced back after the first lost to run-rule Coffeyville 14-0 in 5 Innings. Tyler Small led the way at the plate for them going 2-2, with a double, triple, 4 RBI’s, and 2 runs. Not to be out done was Daniel Merrill who threw a 5 Inning No-Hitter with 1 walk and 2 Hit Batters striking out 6 along the way.

Kirkwood 9-8 (11 Innings)

The first game of the 4 game series came down to the wire in walk off fashion. They channeled the “Green Light Special” as some call it and stole 12 bases through 6 different guys (Mathieu Valle (3), Tyler Small (3), Emile Boise, Jacob Ervin, Kevin Esquilin (3).

Kirkwood 8-7

Another close one, this one was led by Mathieu Vallee (2-4, Double, Homer, R, RBI) and Dionysius Chialtas (2-3, Double, Homer, 4 RBI’s, 2 R).

Kirkwood 13-0 (5 Innings)

Daniel Merrill was back at it again for the second time this week he had a CGSO. 5 Innings, 13 K’s 1 Walk, and 1 Hit. Jacob Erivn had 2 homers on the day while driving in 4 runs.

Kirkwood 7-5

To close out the weekend they took the last game off the bats Tyler Small (2-4, 4 RBI), and Zane Knox (2-2, Homer, 3 RBI, 2 R)
