With many of the smaller districts at any level under Division 1 you do not always know who is good, where the talent is, if any team is actually any good. Well we are here to tell you that the Great Lakes District is far from that.
To start they dethroned the juggernaut that was/is Tyler in 2018 when Oakton won the National Title in a 14-11 13 inning winner take all game that saw 6 Lead Changes and 4 different instances that the game was tied. Oakton also went to the World Series in 2019. Delta took a trip in 2017; Waubonsee took trips in 2016, 2014, and 2013; Joliet had the other three trips over the last decade, With a National Runner up in 2015, a National Title in 2012, and a trip in 2011.

Noah’s Team to Watch: Rock Valley
Rock Valley has had a tough go of it throughout the years but with early season success last year and a ton of talent with most moving on you would think there was a re-building season for them. But with some big time transfers coming in, as well as a lot of freshmen being back adding depth to the team, it would not surprise me if they took wins form teams that were not expecting it regardless of what level it is at.
