The Midwest is one of those Regions that has the unfortunate pleasure of being placed right where some of the other top Regions at other levels are. They are all located around the powers such as John A. Logan, Wabash Valley, Parkland, and other National Powers.
In the past 10 years there has only been one National Title Game and National Champion to come out of this Region which was Kankakee in 2017. Other than them Madison has had trips to Enid in 2019, 2018, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, and 2011; While McHenry is the only other team to claim this region’s crown in 2016.
Just like every other region in the country this year the talent that is from the top to bottom is at an all time high. This years crop of Midwest guys is lead by:
Black Hawk-Moline’s- Kale Ven Huizen
Bryant & Stratton (WI)’s- Danny Lianas, Ethan Toopne, and Brody Cypert
Carl Sandburg’s- Ben Higgins, Caileb Johnson, and Sials Israel
Lake County’s- Noah Glidden, Jaxon Spiegelberg, and Tony Krueger
McHenry’s- AJ Henkle, Dymitri Kanellaskis, and Miller Wallace
Kankakee’s- Bobby Nowak, Clay Thompson, and Kyle Iwinski

Noah’s Team to Watch:Black Hawk-Moline
And we are back to the team that is not my pick to take home the region. Black Hawk has been sitting on the outside looking in for the awhile, as far as punching the ticket to Enid. This year under new Head Coach Josh Keim they have a solid mix of impact transfers and the solid core from last years team back. Despite the new leadership at the top i feel like the funky combination of all that is going on there is going to make for an exciting year to be a Black Hawk Moline fan.
