When people think about Texas Junior College Baseball you generally think of the San Jac’s, the Howard’s, the Grayson’s, and the McLennan’s. But there is a part of the state that is just as good that gets very little love due to the fact that they have the “Division Three” Title or Stigma.

The South District in Texas has been arguably the most successful division 3 district for the past decade. This might have part to do with the fact that they play earlier than most other division 3 schools. But it also has to do with the fact that since 2011 this district has had 6 national title games (Eastfield-2011) and Tyler (2014-2018), with 5 National Titles (2011, 2014-2017) with Brookhaven in 2019 finishing 3rd at the tournament.

As you would expect this is also a very team district with talent-

Tyler’s- Adam Davis, Cooper Rawls, and Heath Hood

Coastal Bend’s-Jacob Wilson, and Eric Martinez

Brookhaven’s-Brett Wagner, JJ Davis, and Andrew Acierni

Cedar Valley’s-Mario Pena, and Corbin Thompson
