The JBB Week 5 Rankings
The Great Lake Bat Co.
Not sure where to begin this week. There was A LOT that happened all across the country this week.
What makes it even crazier is that the Top 3 schools at the NJCAA level this week all have to play for 1 spot to go to Grand Junction:
–John A. Logan continued their winning ways moving to 12-0 on the season and remained in the top spot.
Rounding out the Top 5 is McLennan. They dropped from #3 last week to #5 after a series loss to 2019 World Series team Navarro. Winning the first game 15-0 then getting swept in the Saturday double header.
Other Notable moves at the NJCAA Div 1 level this week:
–Connors State remains undefeated and moves up to #6.
–Easter Oklahoma makes their first appearance in the JBB Top 25 sense the 2018 Season coming in at #22 with a 11-2 record.
–Salt Lake also makes it back into the Top 25 this week coming in at #23 with a record of 13-3.
At the NJCAA Division 2 Level the top 6 stayed the same:
–Mesa had a 2-0 week that pushed them up a spot to #2
–Cuyahoga has yet to play and remained at the #6 spot.
This is where things get a bit crazy at this level. No team from here on out stayed in their same spot.
–Catawba Valley jumps 8 spots to #9 thanks to a 3-0 week which saw not one but TWO NO-HITTERS!
Some other bit moves at the Division 2 level:
–Northwest Mississippi jumped to #13
–Northeast Mississippi jumped to #14
–Lackawanna dropped from #7 to #16 after a 0-2 week which brought their record to 1-5.
–Hinds made their first appearance of the season coming in at #21 after a 4-0 week which brings them to 6-0 on the season.
Like last week the NJCAA Division 3 level still has not had a lot happen. There was games held before/after the TCU vs Minnisota games this past weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium, Home of the Minnesota Vikings.
Notable moves at the NJCAA Division 3 level:
–Cumberlands Dropped 1 spot to 6
–Coastal Bend dropped 5 spots after going 1-5 this past week to #12.
–Milwaukee Area Tech dropped 2 spots after going 1-2 which brought them to 3-4 on the season.
Out in California the top three keep rolling! Ohlone has pushed their record to 16-0 with no sign up letting up winning both games this week by a combined 24-3. Sac City is right behind them going 3-0 on the week with their only loss coming last week to a Top 10 ranked Fresno City club. Cypress rounds out the top 3 with a 2-0 week in which they topped Citrus 5-1 and Palomar 10-5. This pushed Cypress record to 12-2 and their Win Streak to 8 in a row.
Other notable CCCAA Moves:
–Skyline jumped up 5 to #17
–Lassen jumped up 5 to #19
–Cerritos jumped up 5 to #20
–Los Medanos broke into the top 25 at #24 with a 10-4 Record
