Div 1: Miami Dade (4-0)
Miami Dade came out swinging this year. They are currently 6-1, but this past week they were 4-0. They took the first game of the Week against Florida SouthWestern State 7-0. They then had a three-game series against the then #5 State College of Florida. They took game 1 7-3 lead by the duo of Christopher Patterson and Raphy Almanzar-Rosario. Patterson was 2-3 on the day with a double, homer, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored. Almanzar-Rosario went 4-5, with 2 doubles, and 2 rbi’s. In the second game, they won 3-2 and came from behind in scoring 2 runs in both the bottom of the 6th and 7th. The finished out the week in game 3 they jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back finishing with a score of 6-3.
CCCAA: #17 Cuesta (2-1)
Just because i was at the games this weekend is not making this a Subjective choice. Cuesta took on the then ranked #4 Orange Coast. They took the first 2 games. In-game one they won 16-3 behind the bat of Harrison Hart, Kirk Woolf, and Broc Mortensen. Hart was 3-5 with 5 RBI’s a Homer, and a Double. Woolf went 3-5 with 2 Doubles, 3 RBI’s and 2 Runs. Rounding out that game Mortensen went 2-5 with a Double, 2 Runs, and 2 RBI’s. In-game 2, Cuesta took it 6-4, behind Mortensen again and Sean Rooney. Mortensen picked up where he left out the day before going 1-2 with a triple, a run and 2 RBI’s. Rooney went 2-3, with a homer, 2 RBI’s and a Run. In-game 3 they came up just short losing 7-3.
Div 2: #8 NOC-Tonkawa (5-0)
Div 3: #11 Coastal Bend (2-1)
