#10 Cowley County vs #16 Johnson County

It does not get much bigger than the top 2 teams in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference squaring off. Cowley is currently in the lead in the East with a 21-3 Conf record. While Johnson is just behind them with a 19-5 Conf record. So to say there is a lot on the line in this 4 game series might be an understatement.

Cowley comes into the weekend after taking their series last weekend against Kansas City Kansas 3-1. They are currently hitting .325 as a team with a .447 on-base % and a .470 slugging %. They are current 8th in the country in sac hits with 32 and have 31 home runs as a team. Leading their offense this season has been the trio of Cody Milligan (Southern Miss), Logan Steenstra, and Parker Dunn. Milligan leads the team hitting .425 with a .544 on-base % and a .685 slugging %. To go along with those he has 13 doubles, 5 triples, 5 home runs 66 runs (3rd), and 41 RBIs. Steenstra is hitting .331 with a .444 on-base %, and a .460 slugging %. He also has 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 homers, 31 runs, and 35 RBIs. Rounding out the trio is Dunn. Johnson has been one of the top offensive teams at the division 1 level this season. They are currently ranked 10th in doubles (105), 9th in triples (26), 8th in extra-base hits (173), 7th in Slugging % (.580) and  Stolen bases (140), 4th in On base % (.461), and Total Bases (820), 3rd in Runs (478) and RBI’s (394), and 2nd in Batting Avg (.380), and Hits (537). Leading that high powered offense this season has been the trio of Anthony Amicangelo (Washington State), Landen Wood, and Malik Williams (Lipscomb). Amicangelo has been one of the top hitters in the country this season. He is currently hitting .529 (2nd), with a .594 On Base % (3rd), and a .864 Slugging % (9th). To go along with that he has 74 hits (6th), 19 doubles (6th), 5 triples, 6 homers, with 55 RBIs and 53 runs. Wood is hitting .394 with a .466 On Base %, and a .568 Slugging %. To go with those he has 13 doubles, 4 triples, 2 homers, 29 RBIs, 67 runs (2nd) and 39 Stolen Bases (4th). Williams is hitting .355 with a .396 On Base % with a .632 Slugging %. To go along with that he also has 12 doubles, 2 triples, 9 homers, 47 RBIs, and 35 runs.
