Teams of The Week

Here is a look at the teams that made the biggest moves or had huge weeks as a team for each division

Div 1: Yavapai(4-0)

Yavapai has been one of the hottest teams in the country at the division 1 level. They currently are riding a 14-Game win streak which dates back to Mid March. In those 14 games, they have swept Eastern Arizona, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Langley Blaze, Glendale, Central Arizona, and Cochise. This past week is when they took the games from Central Arizona (#19 at the time) and Cochise (#20 at the time). In those 4-games Yavapai put up 42 runs and only giving up 13, with the most being in game 2 against Central Arizona in which they gave up 5. Leading that offense for them this past week was Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Nick Adams. Encarnacion continued to do what he has done all season. He was 6-10 on the week with a double, 2 home runs, 9 RBI, while scoring 7 runs. Adams was 5-13 on the week with 2 home runs, 7 RBI and 5 runs scored.

Div 2: East Central (MS) (4-0)

East Central had a huge week where they swept both then #7 Jones and Northeast Mississippi. Their offense in those 4 games was led by the duo of Anderson Shelley and Dakota Kennedy. Shelley was 5-12, with 2 doubles, 4 RBI, and 4 runs. With 1 of those doubles and 3 of the RBI coming in the final game of the Jones doubleheader. Kennedy had a bit quieter of a week and showed up at the end. He was 6-13 with 2 doubles, a home run, 5 RBI, and 5 runs. The 2 Doubles, Homerun, and 5 RBI all came in the last game of the week against Northeast Mississippi.

Div 3: Niagara County (6-0)

In the 6 games Niagara County played last week they put up 81 runs while only letting up 9. Winning by an average of 12 run. Leading that impressive week for them was Vincent Chiarenza, Troy Banks, and Keegan Ernest. Chiarenza was 9-12 with a double, 2 home runs, 11 RBI, 15 runs and 4 stolen bases. Banks was 9-19 with 3 doubles, 6 RBI, 9 runs and 3 stolen bases. Ernest was lights on the mound for them in their 6-2 win over Onondaga. He threw a complete game striking out 10 without an earned run while only walking 1.
