#25 Neosho (11-0) vs #20 Cowley (9-5)

What is better then starting conference play, then with a series that could decide who wins right out of the gate?

When Neosho and Cowley get together it is nothing less then a shoot out. Last year Cowley took the season series winning 4 of the 6 games, out scoring them 47-29.

For Neosho this season has gotten off to as hot of a start as you can get. Going 11-0 and knocking off #6 Crowder last night in as hut out. After ending last year with a loss to Cowley in the Central Distract Championship with a trip to Grand Junction on the line, it is safe to say that any guys that were on the team last year will be itching to get back at them.

At the plate this year Neosho is one of the best in the country. Currently sitting at #2 for team batting avg (.445) and scoring 153 runs in just 11 games (13.9 per game). This weekend look out for these guys to continue to have big games at the plate:

So OF Nolan Beets (Uncommitted)- .500 BA, .500 OBP, 8-2B, 5-HR, 29 RBI, 10 K’s, and 1 SB

Fr Inf/Rhp Tanner Fox- .513 BA, . 627 OBP, 6-2B, 3-3B, 16 RBI, 3 K’s, 3 SB

So Inf Joe Mondragon (Uncommitted)- .500 BA, .537 OBP, 5-2B, 1-3B, 1-HR, 13 RBI, 6 K’s, 2 SB

Fr OF Aaron Meers- .500 BA, .579 OBP, 7-2B, 1-HR, 15 RBI, 6 K’s, 1 SB

On the mound is just as impressive as at the plate. This weekend they will have these guys starting:

Game 1- So Tyler McGrew (Uncommitted)- 1-0, 1.80 ERA, 12
K’s, 1 CG

Game 2- So McCae Allen (Uncommitted)- 2-0 0.00 ERA, 17 K’s, 1 CG

Game 3- Fr Joe Todd- 1-0, 1.13 ERA, 5 K’s, 1 CG

Game 4- Fr Brandon Anderson- 2-0 .69 ERA, 19 K’s

Out of the bullpen look for them to use So Brayden Nelson (Uncommitted)- 3 app, 1-0, 7 K’s, 0.00 ERA, when they need someone.

Cowley has just as much fire power. After falling just short of a World Series Championship last season (placing 3rd), this team is ready to go for another deep post-season run.

At the plate they have guys that can put the ball in play and make you get them out.

Fr OF Alex Peterson- .444 BA, .531 OBP, 5-2B, 2-3B, 2-HR, 26 RBI, 3 K’s, 5 SB

Fr Inf Grady Davenport- .375 BA, .444 OBP, 1-2B, 1-3B, 1-Hr, 9 RBI, 7 K’s 2 SB

So Inf Devin Beard- .367 BA, .443 OBP, 5-2B, 10 RBI, 6 K’s 3 SB

On the mound look for these guys to start:

So Jk Hadlock- 1-0, 1.04 ERA, 21 K’s

Fr Brannon Jordan- 3-1, 1.20 ERA, 21 K’s

So Branden Minor- 2-1, 9.00 ERA, 5 K’s

Fr Andrew Roach- 1-1, 1.12 ERA, 12 K’s

Out of the bullpen look for Fr Cole Larsen- 7 app, 1 SV, 1.00 ERA, 8 K’s, to be their guy to call on.
